UCL: Clubs to have won all six Champions League group games 

Liverpool set a new record on Tuesday after becoming the first English club to win all the six group stage matches. 

Jurgen Klopp’s men came from a goal down to beat Italian side AC Milan 2-1 at San Siro. No club in England has managed such records but do we have other clubs from other countries winning all their group stage matches.

Bayern Munich

Munich is the latest club to win all their six opening matches of the Champions League group stage. In the season 2019/20, Bayern was one of the dominant clubs across Europe as they managed to score 24 goals including a huge victory against north London side Tottenham. 

The Bavarians have done it once again this season after they registered their sixth victory on Wednesday, beating Barcelona 3-0. The German machines head into the last 16 unbeaten, scoring 22 goals while conceding just three in the process. 

Real Madrid

In the 2014/15 campaign, Madrid became the only team to win all six matches in two different seasons. 

Previously, in the 2011/12 campaign, the Los Blancos had also picked six wins in their group. matches. On paper, it appeared like a tough group as they were pooled alongside the likes of Lyon, Ajax, and Dinamo Zagreb. 

The Spanish giants dominated the group, scoring 19 goals while shipping in only two in the process.  

Barcelona

In the 2002/03 campaign, Barcelona wrote their name in the list of clubs with 100% record in group stages. Pooled in the same group with Lokomotiv Moscow, Club Brugge, and Galatasaray, the Catalans beat the three teams in both legs. 

Spartak Moscow 

Moscow were pooled in an easy group alongside Legia Warsaw, Rosenborg, and Black in the 1995/96 campaign. They fully capitalized, took all the 18 points, and made it to the quarter-finals. 

Paris Saint-Germain 

In the 1994/95 season, PSG won all their six opening group matches, a group that consisted of the likes of Bayern Munich, Spartak Moscow, and Dynamo Kyiv. The Ligue 1 side had a talented squad with George Weah and David Ginola as part of the team. 

AC Milan

In the 1992/93 season, clubs had to go through a two-legged knockout round before securing a spot in the group stages. Well, the Italian side booked their spot after winning all four legs and went on to pick six wins in Group B. 

Their Group included IFK Goteborg, Porto and PSV Eindhoven.
