Arsenal youngster James Hillson has signed a contract extension at the club, his second in a space of one year.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper has been impressive fro the club’s U-23 side and has been rewarded with an improved contract.
The youngsters, who was released by Reading, signed his first contract with the Gunners in July 2019, having first joined in February the same year.
“Delighted to announce that I have extended my contract with Arsenal, can’t wait to get back and continue my grind!” he announced on Instagram.
The young goalie was in September 2019 named in Arsenal’s Europa League squad, despite not having made a single senior appearance.
He has been battling Karl Hein for a role in Steve Bould’s Under-23 side, which has seen him limited to only a few starts.
A number of Championship sides are said to be interested in Hilson’s signature, and the club could consider loaning him as part of his development.
