Brazil international Philippe Coutinho came to Bayern Munich as the most anticipated signing that the fans had been patiently waiting for.
However, it hasn’t been an easy road for Coutinho who has seen his spot in the starting lineup being taken over by Thomas Muller following inconsistent performances and an ankle injury which brought his Bundesliga season to a stop.
Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo claim that Bayern are looking at extending his loan deal but until the end of August.
The reason being UEFA plan on completing the Champions League by the end of August and that would result in Coutinho being able to feature for Bayern as they fight their way through.
Unfortunately, Coutinho is currently injured and it is unknown if he will feature for Bayern in the Bundesliga again; it is unlucky just as he was about to find his form again.
Coutinho has been lauded for his hard work, dedication and passion – qualities that he has displayed during his time with the Bundesliga giants.
The 27-year-old has scored nine goals and provided eight assists from 32 appearances across all competitions this season.
