Manchester United might welcome fans back to Old Trafford as early as December 2020.
Daily Mail reports that negations are underway over a return of fans back to watch their teams again, with United being one of the clubs said to have met the requirements.
There have been planned by the Premier League and the United Kingdom Health Department with the Department of Culture, Media and Sport submitting proposals for December return.
The news comes at a time when the UK National Lockdown is not due to be lifted until December 2 and while requirements are yet to be released by the concerned officials, it is believed that most stadiums are putting things in place in readiness of the measures needed.
A recent report from The Telegraph states the Premier League has been trying to agree on a blueprint with the government to add COVID-19 vaccine records to a digital health passport which may fast-track the return of crowds, but the article doesn’t predict a return for supporters until 2021.
Old Trafford is one of the biggest ground in the UK and might act as the pilot stadium for the test with the other ground being earmarked for tests for fans being Wembley.
