Manchester United will part ways with young midfielder Dion McGhee at the end of the season.
The 19-year-old broke the news on his official Twitter handle where he penned a heartfelt statement revealing that he won’t renew his contract with the English giants past June 30.
McGhee has been at United ever since he was six years old, and made six starts in the club’s Under-23 side this season.
The player is said to have been speaking to clubs from Italy, Spain and Portugal according to Manchester Evening News and that there has been contact with Premier League and Championship clubs too.
He had tweeted on Wednesday afternoon, ‘Time for a new challenge’ before deleting the post.
Oldham-born McGhee started in six of the Under-23s’ 18 Premier League 2 fixtures this term and was in the same FA Youth Cup squad as Mason Greenwood and James Garner.
