Napoli on Wednesday were crowned Coppa Italia champions after beating Juventus 4-2 on penalties following their barren draw in regulation time at Stadio Olimpico.
Arkadiusz Milik was the hero after he scored the winning spot-kick following Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret’s save on Paulo Dybala’s effort and Danilo sent his strike sailing over his crossbar.
The result means Juve boss Maurizio Sarri’s wait for a first major domestic honour goes on, with Napoli securing their first piece of silverware since 2014.
Juventus will look to overcome the disappointment by lifting a ninth straight Scudetto when Serie A restarts, but the win means Napoli automatically qualify for the Europa League group stage next season.
Juventus had made it to the final after eliminating AC Milan1-1 on aggregate while Napoli dumped out Inter Milan.
