Newcastle United’s potential new owners are reportedly interested in appointing former Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Antero Henrique.
According to French publication Le10Sport, the Saudi-backed bid is on the verge of completion and the new owners are keen to bring in a sporting director and a new manager in the process.
The publication further claims that they are also targeting former Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez and former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino for the hot seat.
Henrique has been a free agent and has worked for two clubs as a sporting director; he spent a ten-year spell at Porto before being shipped to PSG in 2017 where he was at the forefront of getting Kylian Mbappe and Neymar signed (AS).
It is yet to be seen what the decision will be when the takeover is officially announced.
