Philippe Coutinho’s agent has played down transfer rumours linking his client with a move back to the Premier League.
The Brazilian is said to be attracting interest from Chelsea FC with Liverpool being the other team he has been linked with but according to the player’s agent Kia Joorabchian in an interview with talkSPORT, they had not spoken with anybody.
“At the moment, we have not spoken to anybody about any deals whatsoever. I think at the moment everyone’s concentration is regarding this pandemic and how football can restart the season in a secure environment and over the health and safety of everybody.
“I think the transfer side of things and where he will go or where people will go will come into play down the line when things have got back to some sort of normality,” he said.
Coutinho spent six seasons at Liverpool before moving to Barcelona in January 2018 for a £142million fee but things haven’t been the same for the player at Camp Nou.
The player who is now considered surplus to requirements by the Catalans giants has been on loan at Bayern Munich since the start of the 2019-20 campaign with Barca said to be ready to listen to offers for the player.
