Former Manchester United manager Luis Nani has jokingly said he taught Cristiano Ronaldo a lot during their time with the youth team.
Nani, who played against his countryman at Manchester United, went ahead to name the current Juventus forward in his five-a-side dream team, which also included two other Manchester United greats.
In goal, the now 33-year-old picked current Man United goalkeeper David de Gea, with Paul Scholes also getting a nod in midfield.
Nani’s fellow countrymen Bruno Alves and Deco also add to the team, with Cristiano leading the attack.
“Cristiano Ronaldo with all these skills, the fast feet, he learned a lot from me in the youth. He knows, he knows,” he said on Ronaldo on a video on the Major League Soccer Instagram account.
He did not lack words to describe De Gea in goal, terming him as ‘one of the best’.
“David de Gea is in goal, a very good player and one of the best in the world but he must bring his glasses with him because he can’t see anything without them.”
Nani currently turns out for Orlando City SC in the Major League Soccer.
