Ryan Giggs believes that Manchester United have to sign four or five more players if they want to challenge for the title under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer has already made notable signings this season bringing in Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo who have been largely impressive since landing at Old Trafford in January.
But, Giggs wants his former team-mate to go for signing in the summer transfer window if United has to compete with Premier League top sides.
“Ole started his management with United flying, then had a tough spell, and then we were on a good run. But, the players he’s got in have been really impressive. I still think we need four or five players but we’re definitely going in the right direction,” he said.
English publication Manchester Evening News reports that United are still looking to sign three players in the summer window despite the coronavirus pandemic, while Ed Woodward warned it will not be ‘business as usual’ heading into the next transfer window.
United will be looking to maintain their fine form if football returns next month, and Giggs believes the foundations are in place for something special under his good friend Solskjaer.
