Uruguay international Luis Suarez has been accused of cheating on an Italian exam after the Guarda di Finanza discovered that he already knew all the answers which triggered an investigation into the matter.
According to Football Italia, Suarez was on the verge of securing a move to Juventus and had to first write a formale exam to test his ability in the language to grant him an Italian passport.
La Repubblica revealed that the questions in the Italian test had been already studied in advance and it was deemed suspicious thereafter.
Juventus have already filled their quota of the season for non-EU players who want to join from another club that is not in the Serie A and Suarez could only sign with the Turin-based outfit if he acquired Italian citizenship.
Reports claim both parties had agreed to personal terms but the deal could not go through due to his citizenship status.
